RABBIT PROOF FENCE

In chapter three of the rabbit proof fence, aboriginals were victu to the injustice of the european settlers. the europeans took the land from the aboriginals by force and because the aboriginals only had spears as defence and the europeans had guns the aboriginals realized that they were no match and were "forced to accept the white systems of justace and punishment".  the aboriginal laws were disgarded, therefor their culture was being destroyed and violated agenst. the practices of the aboriginal practices and beliefs were baned to a point were they had to " find ways to return to their secret and sacred sites to preform their dances and other ceremonies that were crucial to their culture and whole way of life". there half aboriginal children were "concider smarter" and were taken awayfrom them to be servents and laborers.
the civilizing of australia is verry identical to americas civilizing in that they boath discriminated and enslaved the natives. In America when the europeins came they tried to enslave the natives but most of them died off from desies. in australia the natives also died from desieses but were more resiliant to them than the native americans. they both were made slaves but also they were both killed off by the europeins almost till extinction.
some may argue that the relocating of the children of mixed decent was for there own betterment, but even tho it might of been intended to be good it was still entirely wrong.the relocating of the mixed children took them away from there familys and also when they were taken away they were made slaves. the children dislocated were treated better better than the full blood nativesbut in reality they still wernt treated as well as they should have been. the acts of the goverment were not justified, even though there intent was good  they still acted wrongly tward the half children and there famlies.

INVASIVE SPECIES

cane todes are nativ to south america but were introduced to australia in the 1935 with the hope that they wold destroy the destructive cane beatle population. they did not destroy the cane beatle population but they were successful at overpopulating and spreading. the were originoly in queensland australia but now they have spread all over north eastern australia. as a result of the cane tode infestation many native species became extinct. other animals survived because they had to learn to avoid the cane toad but they also endanger some insects that are significant to australia. to stop this problem the australian people created a biological weppon to give them a parasite.

-How did it make its way into Australia and where is it primarily?
-What is the problems the Cane Toad is causing?
-What has been done to try and fix this problem?
Then, on the same blog, pick an invasive species that is affecting America right now.
You can get info from http://www.invasivespeciesinfo.gov/whatis.shtml
-How is this species affecting America?
-What is being done about this problem?
Finish your blog with your opinions on why invasive species are something that we should be concerned with. How can we relate our issues in America with invasive species to the issues Australians have faced with Rabbits and Cane Toads?

coral bleacing

A polyp looks like a tiny upside down jelly fish that needs zooxantenellae to to be concidered a corral.in the ocen coral are sensitive to tempature  change. when water stays the same for too long coral bleaching occurs.because of climate change and CO2 admitions coral bleaching is occuring more now than ever. people can help reduce climate change by recycleing, dont leave unused electronics on, dont use uneccasary veicle transportation.

Two benifites to thease types of videos is that they let kids know about what they do to the earth and what they can do to help it. also the video is verry informational. Two drawbacks to it is that it is shown on something electronic which dosent help the situation and the video overall, even though it was informational, was kind of boring.

      for adults from australia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hq98QKCzEF
this is a good video because its like a news anouncement rather than an informational video and it gives australians a reason to help because it shows how it effects them.
